About the Item

George Jennings marble lift-up sink. A marbleised sink basin designed by Jennings which appeared in the Great Exhibition of 1851 alongside his toilets. This places this products’ production in the mid nineteenth century. The stand is modern, with a Carrara marble top and splash back making it ideal for a corner position. The original brass taps are a desirable feature with many in this period lacking their addition. Integral soap dishes are fitted with drain holes for their use which are not visible once soap is placed, retaining the products elegant appearance. The delicately hand painted sink basin resembles the true Carrara marble top. Beautifully maintaining its appearance as-well as functionality.
