Cast iron bench with rich decoration of chimeras and flowers, white lacquered, with 1 seat in wooden slats This bench bears the mark of the English foundry Coalbrookdale and is numbered. The English foundry Coalbrookdale has been renowned since the beginning of the 18th century for its quality cast iron. The activity is initially linked to the industrial development of the country, and the foundry carries out numerous engineering projects (such as bridges) before developing a production of art and decorative objects in the 19th century Coalbrookdale presented numerous works at international exhibitions, including the monumental garden doors for Kengsigton Gardens in 1862 Some old restorations and cracks Height 93cm Seating 45cm 131 x 68 cm
