About the Item

A 19th Century Louis XV style walnut door from the Loire Valley. This two sided interior door is made of thick planks of solid walnut with hand carved scroll decoration typical of the region. Large iron hinges. Working lock and key with brass knob and latch is not original but is of the period. Pegged construction. Beautiful wood with waxed patina. Circa 1800-1820.
