A wonderful iconic Mid-Century set of six French 1940s Multipl’s metal chairs in excellent condition, retaining its old mottled painted surface of grey, green, red, and blue. The chairs were designed by Joseph Mathieu and made by Pierre Benite in Lyon. Multipl’s were Tolix's main competitor. but unfortunately ceased operations in the 1950s. Vintage 1970s Italian stylish wooden doorstop  

A hallmark of Chinese architecture, tall door panels such as these were used in provincial courtyard homes to easily open up a room to the outdoors.
