Crémone Bolt French Window or Door Hardware
About the Item
Hard to find, antique Crémone or "Crémone Bolt" is a type of decorative hardware used as a locking device to fasten doors, a pair of swinging windows or casement window. A knob or lever, a fastening that has vertical rods moved up and down so that the ends of the bolts engage the top and bottom of the frame. The rod can be replaced with a longer rod to fit the height needed. Also known as an espagnolette, Photos shows the bolts mounted on a piece of wood is for display purposes only.
