Ancient double-leaf door, carved in the panels and made of solid walnut wood with small opening windows (it probably originated as a shop door, in the evening they closed the shutters above the windows), simpler carved back, they do not have a frame because they were mounted on the wall. Original from the late 18th century, from Italy. Measurements of the 2 wings together: cm w 84 x H 180

Spanish furniture and architecturals of the 18th century, such as this pair of walnut wood entry doors, were highly influenced by French stylings. Hand-carved circa 1750, the doors feature deep, sinuous moldings, reminiscent of the curvaceous motifs seen during the reign of Louis XV. The amazing doors have a rich brown patina that accentuates the charm of the carvings, which are also enhanced by the visible screws used to join the pieces of walnut wood. Comprised of five carved panels per door, each carving is similar: a rough rectangle with rounded ends and barbed counter curves. The three smaller panels are orientated horizontally, surrounding the two larger and vertically arranged panels. A thickly scrolled bronze pull can be seen on each door, also functioning as door knockers (the door on the right has commensurate wear from the pull striking the wood).
