Entrance to Elegance! A magnificent 18th century (circa 1780) Adam finely carved pine doorway from England. What makes this pieces a true "Show Stopper" is the wonderful artistic classical hand carved motifs throughout the entire doorway. The frieze carved with ribbon bell flower swags and paterae (of later date) surmounted by finely carved acanthus leaves. Paneled pilaster jambs with small leaf moulding, each shaped bell flower carved truss leading to an artistically carved acanthus leaf. Opening bordered by egg and dart carved moulding. Overall - 81"W 10"D 96"H Opening - 54"W 80"H.
