About the Item

Crafted from pine and layered in softly weathered tones of pale blue-green and gray, this antique French interior door captures the poetry of age. The worn finish reveals generations of use—cracks, chips, and softened corners that tell the quiet story of time passing. Two recessed panels sit within a beveled frame, and traces of old iron hardware remain intact. Whether used as a functional door, mounted as wall art, or reimagined in a custom build, this piece brings a soulful patina and storied texture to any setting. Salvaged in France, late 19th century. Crafted from pine. The door bears the original worn blue-green paint on one side, with bluish-gray on the opposite side. 3 partial half-barrel hinges are present, along with an iron escutcheon; no other hardware. Minor wood separation present, with overall condition consistent with age and use. Approximately 25” W x 78.75” H x 1.25” D.
