Reclaimed Georgian Front Door with Fanlight

About the Item

Dating from the late 1800s, this pine front door with fanlight is an excellent example of Georgian architectural style. The arched fanlight top is distinctive of the period, the pine frame and zinc semi-circle once glazed to allow light to cast into the long narrow hallway of a Regency townhouse. It currently has a stripped, natural wood finish with raised and fielded panels to the front and back. No hardware is present although various cut-outs and markings from the location of historic hardware remain. It is a beautiful piece for the entryway of a Georgian or Regency style home, setting the stage with its impressive size, frame and over door fanlight. Door measures H 212.5 x W106.5 cm
