19th Century European Townhouse Doors
Located in High Point, NC
Mysterious and ornate, this magnificent pair of antique wooden doors were made to be marveled over. Built in Central Europe in the 1800s, the weathered patina of the wood creates an impression of faded grandeur, but the beautifully crafted decorative elements remain as compelling as ever. The semi-opaque glass of the windows is shielded by an intricate iron grille; the scrolls and foliage of the metalwork provide a sinuous counterpoint to the fluted columns and geometric paneling of the wooden frame. Carved lion heads are fashioned with a wonderfully life...

19th Century French Renaissance Exterior Door with Cast Iron
Located in Dallas, TX
19th Century French Renaissance exterior door with cast iron is a stunning example of Beaux Artes Period craftsmanship and timeless architecture from a bygone era! Meticulously hand-crafted from old-growth yellow pine, it features a majestic multi-tiered crown with intaglio carved foliates appearing over the magnificent cast iron inset that dominates the upper portion of the door frame. Centered in the casting is a handsome nobleman situated on an intricate heraldic crest, surrounded by an amazing display of floral and foliate designs above and below. That composition is then framed yet again with a surrounding border of intertwined scrolls punctuated with rosettes. The entire iron work is framed like a painting in the detailing of the door frame. Below the iron is another projected molding which features the brass handle surrounded by intaglio carving that complements the carving on the crown above. A tier of dentil trim appears between that projection and the brass mail slot...
