Two Sets Mid-Size Circular Door Handles in Bronze, Mid-20th Century, France

About the Item

Two mid-size circular push-and-pull door handles in bronze, mid-20th century, France, sold as shown in image 1. Simple elegant handles, made up of two separate round pieces, held by a connecting bolt. The components are in good vintage condition with signs of wear, as one might expect from age and use including scratches, dings and marks. Much of the original lacquer has worn away, and there is an aged and mellow patina which we have left as found. The handles are set up to use either side of a single door, however you could consult your fitter to enable the pieces to work on thicker doors, or alongside one another as four singles if you wish. One side is fitted with a bolt (approximately 3.5cm), which we have not tried to remove; original locking screws and rubber buffers are in place. Approximate dimensions for one side of the handle: Dia 9.5cm D* 4.5cm * Depth = Projection from face of door to front rim of one piece Please be aware these are heavy pieces and suitable installation will be required.

  • French 19th C. Raised-Panel Wood Doors 'A Set of two Single Doors'
    Located in Atlanta, GA
A French set of two doors, both singles, from the 19th century. These antique doors from France, though not meant to match up together (as in a pair of French-style doors) but are two near-identical single doors. Each door is comprised of two panels, with top being near-square in shape, over the lower rectangular raised panel. The new custom finish has a soft color palette of gray, blue and green hues. Both sides of the doors are paneled and painted, so these are a great option to place between living spaces. As with all of our doors, we recommend that a professional contractor be used for installation, and that our dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly. This set of 2 single French doors...
