About the Item
18th century French Louis XV period fireback with a religious theme. The fireback is also decorated with two pillars of Hercules. The pillars stand for strength and the unknown. The date of production, 1776, is also cast in the fireback.
Made of cast iron. The fireback has a natural brown patina. Upon request it can be made black / pewter at no extra costs.
