18th Century French Rotating Gridiron

About the Item

18th century French Louis XV rotating gridiron made of wrought iron. To prepare small pieces of meat quickly over the fire. Sometimes they were put in the fire or else on a trivet, depending on the size of the fire. The gridiron is still fully functional for cooking in the fireplace.
