18th Century Irish Georgian Ribbed Peat Bucket

About the Item

18th Century Irish Georgian Ribbed Peat Bucket, circa 1770s, a scarce large size and desirable form fire-side mahogany peat bucket with bold lathe-turned ribbing, brass bands and strong bail handle, with original fitted sheet iron liner. A very stylish and generous vessel for holding peat, heartwood or kindling by the hearth. The wooden bucket, brass and iron liner all remain in excellent condition. Measures: 17-3/4 in H x 14-1/2 in Diameter
