19th Century French Louis XVI Rococo Bronze Dore and Mesh Fireplace Screen

About the Item

Decorate your fireplace with this elegant antique Parisian screen. Crafted in France circa 1870, the rectangular shaped screen sits on scroll feet decorated with acanthus leaf motifs over a carved and pierced floral apron. With mesh wire on the facade, the fire place essential features Louis XVI style motifs including and a center medallion decorated with the traditional Louis XVI ribbon bow and decorated with foliage and torch motifs. The bronze dore screen is further embellished by an intricate handle at the top decorated with leaves flanked with symmetrical urn and garland finials at the pediment. The decorative Rococo screen is in excellent condition with a rich patinated gilt finish. Measures: 23" W x 8" D x 32" H.
