Aesthetic Movement walnut metamorphic oak coal box with Herons in a river scene.

About the Item

An Aesthetic Movement Walnut metamorphic oak coalbox. The handle when pulled back mechanically opens the two doors to the front, which has brass panels depicting Herons eating fish in a river scene with bullrushes and birds above them. The original internal tin liner has worn through and could easily be restored by a competent metal worker.
