Antique Louis XVI Style Gilt & Patinated Bronze Chenets Circa 1860

About the Item

A Fine and Impressive Pair of Louis XVI Style Gilt and Patinated Bronze Chenets Allegorical of Winter. These look much better in the flesh as they are larger than normal and very substantial. Each chenet is formed as seated Cherub or Putto dressed in fine drapery, on very high quality shaped gilt-bronze bases with Leafy borders and raised on toupie feet. They have been completely dismantled cleaned and put back together.
