Antique top quality Victorian 19th century black Tolware coal scuttle or purdonium, by Loveridge of Wolverhampton (associated with Shoolbred).
This is a lovely rare quality piece, that is full of age charm and character. Complete with a later shovel and steel liner (missing its loops and with a secondary liner for integrity).
Beautiful patina, age and color... a nice find.
Would look amazing in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions: 30cm W x 44cm D x 40cm H (excluding the shovel). Internally approximately 20cmH x 25cmW x 20cm depth).
In good antique condition with historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture.
