Antique Victorian circa 1880 Japanned Coal Scuttle Purdonium Loveridge

About the Item

Antique top quality Victorian 19th century black Tolware coal scuttle or purdonium, by Loveridge of Wolverhampton (associated with Shoolbred). This is a lovely rare quality piece, that is full of age charm and character. Complete with a later shovel and steel liner (missing its loops and with a secondary liner for integrity). Beautiful patina, age and color... a nice find. Would look amazing in the right location! Overall maximum dimensions: 30cm W x 44cm D x 40cm H (excluding the shovel). Internally approximately 20cmH x 25cmW x 20cm depth). In good antique condition with historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture.
