About the Item

Art Nouveau 'Ringlever' Fireplace Log Grate from the Netherlands. Made of beautifully forged and carved wrought iron. The condition is good. Leendert Ringlever (1885–1966) was a Dutch blacksmith known for his craftsmanship and contributions to applied arts in the Netherlands. He worked in Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, creating decorative wrought iron such as gates, lamps, and staircases. His designs combined elegant, organic forms with traditional smithing techniques. Ringlever also played a key role in preserving the craft of blacksmithing during the rise of industrialization. His work can still be found in historic buildings and is admired for its artistic quality.
