Finest Antique 19thC English Neoclassical Inlaid Mahogany Perdonium or Coal Hod
About the Item
An amazingly fine Antique English 19th Century neoclassically inlaid mahogany Perdonium or Coal Hod with various exotic woods inlays, original tin liner. This might be the finest perdonium (standing coal hod) we have ever had! Of course, it was used for coal near the fireplace, but today, it makes a superb magazine or flower holder. In spectacular, near-pristine, age-appropriate condition. (See images).
The depth of 18.75" is at the base between the legs. The piece is actually much less deep if the feet are discounted.
