French fireback with two pillars topped with Marianne wearing the Phrygian cap
The fireback commemorates the 8th year of the French Revolution. The Phrygian cap is the cap of Marianne, a national symbol of France. She symbolizes the 'Triumph of the Republic': freedom and reason. The pillars also symbolize freedom.
The fireback is made of cast iron and has a natural brown patina. Upon request it can be made black / pewter. The fireback is in a good condition and does not have cracks.
