Labeled George III Brass-Bound Mahogany Navette Form Peat Bucket, 19th Century

About the Item

This wonderful Labeled Regency brass-bound mahogany navette form peat bucket / fire bucket was made in England in the early 19th century. The Navette Form peat bucket is handmade with coopered mahogany staves and bound together in brass bands with three narrow decorative bands in the center between the upper and lower bands. This wonderful George III Brass-Bound Mahogany Peat Bucket retains the original brass label that reads " P.B.M. & Co. Inc. 23 ". The original Brass Bail (carrying handle) is mounted to the peaks of the Navette Form mahogany bucket with riveted brass escutcheon. The End. Measurement: 20 1/2 inches high with Brass Bail 14 3/4 inches high at the top of Navette Form Bucket 15 inches wide 11 3/4 inches deep.
