About the Item
French Louis XIV style fireback with the arms of France and the inscription 'Seul contre Tous or 'All against One'. It symbolizes the French battle against the European coalition at the end of the 17th century. The coalition tried to restrict the power of the French King Louis XIV. William III, supported by British and Spanish troops, was an important opponent. French royal coat of arms with the three French Lilies (Fleurs de Lys, symbolizing purity and nobility).
The fireback is made of cast iron and has a natural brown patina. Upon request it can be made black / pewter at no extra costs. It is in a good condition and has no cracks.
