Mid 19th Century Brass Crown-Form Wall Pocket or Tidy

About the Item

Nineteenth century polished brass wall pocket or tidy of crown form with a bowed front having a shaped top edge and pierced design above an applied red brass beaded molding. These were used by the fireplace or entry door to keep matches, keys, mail, etc.
