English Mid 19th Century Brass Helmut Shaped Coal Hod

About the Item

English mid 19th century brass coal hod in the Classic helmut shape. This heavy quality coal hod has a tipping handle at the rear of the hod and a lovely substantial swing handle for carrying, it is made using dovetailed construction and has a lightly hammered surface. Today this form is often used for kindling, plants, magazines or just odds and ends of toys and paraphenalia.
