French 19th Century Art Nouveau Chinoiserie Decorated Tole Coal Hod and Liner

About the Item

French Art Nouveau Period chinoiserie decorated tole coal bin and liner with cast side handles and feet. The hinged lid opens to reveal the removable tin liner with swing handle. This handsome coal bin can also be used to store kindling, newspapers or for use as a lidded waste basket. Restoration to decoration, no tool holder; Circa 1880.
