An Aesthetic period Kilkenny marble fireplace inset with Minton tiles, removed the Cornish home of the celebrated British novelist John Le Carré. The fossil stone surround with stop-canted moudings, inset with a series of Minton China Works tiles designed by John Moyr Smith illustrating the Waverley Novels by Sir Walter Scott. Dimensions: 133.5cm (52½") High, 158cm (62¼") Wide, 6cm (2¼") Deep, Opening width 97.5 cm x 102 cm, Outside jamb to jamb 161.5 cm
