  • Antique French Nero Marquina Marble Fireplace Mantel, Circa 1880
    Located in Dallas, TX
Featuring Louis XIV-style elements, this French fireplace mantel was hand-carved circa 1880 out of an elegant nero marquina marble. Most noticeably, the firebox opening has a luscious half-round border that is two inches thick. The feet are augmented by a six-inch thick protruding bolection and the lintel has several thin layers of molding. A bronze rosette medallion, set within beading and a foliate ring, graces each side, also functioning as a vent. Our nero marquina mantel...
