About the Item
Fabulous Louis XVI antique fireplace mantel in Breche d'Alep marble with beautiful bronze ormolu enrichments. A deep and generous mantel above with beautiful designs in the marble make this a very good looking fireplace mantel with a rich and variegated marble. The mantel was purchase in Paris France in the 1980s at the famous flea market Les Puces de Saint-Ouen. There is a piece missing the top of the opening molding shown in the photos. I would suggest removing the side pieces making the opening larger. Even with the missing piece this is a great marble mantel just needs a good polishing. The opening is 35" x 42" without the molding on the sides.
