About the Item
Antique and precious deco fireplace, composed of red (levanto) and yellow (siena) marble inlaid with geometric designs, wavy legs and pediment, well sculpted and ground. Composed of precious and rare marbles, which change yield and color based on light, passing from green to red, made at the beginning of the 20th century in northern Italy (Genova).
He was in a stately home, well set up because the marbles are sought after and could not afford them all, very rich. It matches with historical and elegant contestants. Inside fireplace mouth 122 x 88 h cm.
Imponente camino in marmo rosso Levanto e serpentina violacea brecciata, con intarsi in marmo giallo. Il marmo rosso di Levanto, estratto nell'omonimo comune della Riviera Spezzina, era conosciuto e apprezzato sia dagli Etruschi che dai Romani. Il camino presenta piano mosso e fronte decorato da conchiglia centrale affiancata da intarsi di marmo giallo, Le gambe sono definite da eleganti riccioli scolpiti. Epoca fine '800, provenienza La Spezia (italia).
