Brass & Steel Firebasket with Ionic Capitals

About the Item

A brass and steel firebasket in the Georgian style. The tapering brass legs with ionic capitals, surmounted by urn finials. The pierced steel fret with Athenian motif with brass beading above and below. The burning area with polished steel front bars and decorative cast iron fireback behind. English, early 20th century. Measures: Width at front: 615 mm 24 ¼" Width at back: 430 mm 16" Height: 665 mm 26" Depth: 320 mm 12".
