French Transitional Style Hand Carved Fire-Place Mantel

About the Item

A monumental and impressive Country French 19th century Transitional st. honey patinated oak fireplace mantel. The hand carved mantel has a scalloped Bandeau with a central heart shaped reserve amidst scrolled acanthus leaves. At each side are intertwined berried foliate creating a heart shape. The moulded border mirror frame is accented with carved rosettes. All original patina. Interior dimensions H: 48.5" L: 62" D: 22".
