A good quality George III hob grate smartly finished in black graphite polish and ready for placement in your home. Dating from circa 1790, this antique hob grate is handsomely cast in the Georgian style, depicting to the front of both sides a quiver of arrows among scrolling foliage and a spear and horn above a sword. An ornate steel fret to the centre brings the two front sides together, detailed with a pierced lattice pattern for a final touch of beauty.
