An imposing and highly important antique Louis XV period statuary marble chimneypiece of exceptional quality and generous proportion, the serpentine opening centred with an elaborate foliate Rococo cartouche with carved acanthus throughout, flanked by canted tapering console jambs carved in high relief, with echoing side consoles decorating the opening.
