A large and impressive 19th century English polished cast iron firegrate. The semi circular burning area flanked by scrolled wrought iron embellishments and large female figures of Egyptian influence. Plain cast iron fireback behind. An impressive piece, with good quality patina to cast iron. Width At Front: 839 mm 33" Width At Back: 455 mm 17 ⅞" Height: 660 mm 26" Depth: 285 mm 11 ¼"
