Irish 19th Century Palladian Style Welsh Slate Fireplace Mantle


A Palladian style surround in Welsh Heather Slate, the jambs with fluted semi engaged columns, supported on semi circular soccles. The frieze of one piece with conforming end blocks, fluted centre tablet, flanked on either side by fluted panels. A wide breakfront shelf, with rounded overhang for the corner blocks. Irish early 19th century. Opening size 107 cm x 107 cm.
