An Irish Black Marble Nineteenth Century Chimneypiece
About the Item
A Regency chimneypiece carved from the solid, the jambs in the form of free-standing Doric columns on socle bases, resting on square footblocks. The frieze with a reeded motif supports a simple moulded shelf. Paterae are finely carved on the cornerblocks.
