The Jacobean: A Classical Stone Fireplace in the English Jacobean Style

About the Item

Our Jacobean stone fireplace is named after the early 17th century English design period it evokes. It features a classic Bolection-style molding throughout the legs and first lintel piece. In addition to the traditional Bolection curve, the molding features more curved and stepped layers, both along the outer edges and the inner edges of the legs and lintel. The molding of the plinths below the legs also follows the same curve of the legs. Above the first lintel is an elegant framed panel, with carved scrolls on either side, and a bush-hammered texture inside the lightly ridged frame. Above this is a generous shelf piece that flares out dramatically on either side, and incorporates several more layers of molding. This fireplace looks beautiful in limestone or marble, and works wonderfully well in a Primary Bedroom, Living Room, Great Room or Study. Custom sizes are available.
