A Large Antique English Victorian Carved Statuary White Marble Fireplace Mantel
About the Item
A large carved corbel Victorian fireplace in Statuary white Italian marble circa 1860. The wide and generous shelf with an ogee moulding to the edge, sitting above a frieze with plain panels flanking a large carved tablet of foliage and fruit basket. The jambs with carved front panels and carved brackets of conforming fruit and foliage. Typical Victorian style parlour fireplace.
This was taken from a large Victorian property in Kensington west London. Restored. gently. The images are a true reflection of condition. Both front panels repaired. However all in good order now.
