About the Item

A fireplace screen with diagonal wide mesh on ten vertical iron supports and with an iron base rail and a brass top rail, with iron scrollwork to the center. This one is particularly long (53"). Designed not as a spark guard but as a functional piece to keep children and dogs away from the fire. Now used to dress up a fireplace. Suitable for either a wood burning or gas fire.
