A tall French Renaissance style carved oak chimney piece, dating to the mid 19th century. This beautiful surround showcases an array of striking features, including a stepped shelf above a boldly carved frieze, centred with a beautiful female Grecian head, flanked by monogrammed cabochon on end blocks raised on column jambs. Over 170 years old, this antique stone fireplace has stood the test of time, telling the story of the styles and grandeur of 19th century French craftsmanship.
