A large and impressive wood fireplace. The panelled jambs with carved ribbon and bellflowers, surmounted by brackets inlaid with husks with oval paterae above. The frieze with carved leaf work and foliage throughout with birds to centre. The breakfront shelf with carved acanthus leaf moulding. English, 19th century. An impressive piece.
