Late 19th Century Wrought Iron Firegrate from the Arts & Crafts Movement

About the Item

A late 19th century wrought iron firegrate from the Arts & Crafts movement. The oval basket with domed finials, barley twist front bars and decorative scrolled wrought ironwork below. The accompanying dogs with rounded feet surmounted by central circular motif and flower finials to top. An unusual piece. Measures: Width at front: 820 mm 32 ¼" Width at back: 400 mm 15 ¾" Height: 665 mm 26 ?" Depth: 320 mm 12 ?".
