A striking Louis XV style fire mantel, made in pine and elaborately decorated with ornate composition moulding. This impressive, reclaimed fire surround is quite the statement piece with its unusual shape, the sweeping opening and angled corbel style jambs evocative of classical French styling. Composition details are present throughout, centring around a scallop shell in a wreath surrounded by foliage as the focal point of the frieze.
