Monumental Antique 18th Century French Stone Chimneypiece
About the Item
An original French early 18th Century Antique stone fire surround.
Of significant height, this magnificent period piece is composed of blocks of pale honey-coloured French stone and has a striking trumeau that is surmounted by a stepped and moulded cornice with dentil detailing underneath. The trumeau has a cushioned panel.
A very rare and spectacular piece, the surround can be viewed at our Hertfordshire warehouse.
