About the Item
This limestone mantel is one of twelve fireplace mantels that we've recently acquired from a chateau-like mansion in Italy.
All twelve rare mantels were intricately hand carved by Italian master carvers and installed on site anywhere between circa(1782-1805). Each reclaimed mantel comes with its original salvaged hearth. Along the years, all twelve mantels were very well preserved. They were hand-carved using rare Italian Limestone with slightly varying color undertones.
Normal patterns of aging and distressing within the limestone are apparent all throughout this old fireplace giving it much more life and character. The dimensions on this beautiful mantel are detailed in the image. It has no breaks or cracks and remains in great condition.
