A polished cast iron firegrate. The arched base with feathers cast throughout, rosette to centre and lion's paw feet below. The burning area with shaped front bars and fleur-de-lys, flanked by cast griffin heads. Decorative cast iron fireback behind. An unusual piece. English, 19th century.
