A Queen Anne Blackened Sandstone Frame Chimneypiece

About the Item

An early eighteenth century simple but elegant blackened sandstone frame formed of a header and jambs featuring fielded panels. The jambs panels are finished at each end with handsome arches and the frieze is centred with a keystone carved in a patera of concentric leaves. Original sandstone insert available. Measurements: Height 49⅜in (125.5cm) width 50¾in (129cm) Internal height41½in (105.5cm) width 35¼in (89.5m) Shelf depth 2¾in (7cm)
