Turn of the Century Georgian Style Stained Oak Mantelpiece

About the Item

English Georgian style dark stained oak mantelpiece carved in a rectilinear post and lintel composition referencing both Classical architecture and traditional English iconography. Specifically, each side is adorned with composite ionic and corinthian columns which support a straight cornice whose frieze is carved with rosettes inspired by the English tradition.
