About the Item

A striking early 20th century antique stone wall fountain depicting a neoclassical style grotesque or gargoyle style mask. This impressive limestone water feature makes a handsome focal point in a garden or courtyard, the water playfully designed to flow from the mouth of the mask. Exceptionally hand carved into limestone, it channels neoclassical and baroque themes, the mysterious and mystical mask decorated with scrolling foliage below wreath and shell detail. Perfect for use by a walled pond, above a large stone planter or as part of a secret garden. Depth varies from 7-14 cm (2.75 - 5.51 inches)
